PathMotion
A short-term program with far-reaching results
Highlights
• A successful UK launch, propelling PathMotion into national media and builds awareness with the target Generation Y market
• In-depth coverage achieved in TechCrunch and The Thrillist
• High levels of online conversation around the brand as a result
Where we started
PathMotion was founded in Paris and provides a platform which simplifies the job-hunting and career-planning process. Using evidence-based tools, PathMotion allows users to explore the potential careers and actual job opportunities which best fit with their skills, interests and qualifications. PathMotion was about to enter the UK market when they engaged with Ballou PR to support the launch.
What we advised
As a short-term project, fast results with impact were the name of the game. We advised a focused approach to introducing the service to users, recruiters and universities through highly targeted media engagement.
What we did
Briefings: CEO David Rivel was positioned as spokesperson for key briefings and interviews with industry journalists
Differentiation: With a heavy focus on differentiating PathMotion from established competitors, we drew attention to the smart technology behind the service, and gained coverage in leading tech titles, such as TechCrunch
Events: We secured prominent speaking opportunities for PathMotion, which positioned them alongside other innovative start-ups, as well as tech heavyweights
What we achieved for PathMotion
- 22 pieces of coverage in a 3 month period
- Heightened awareness and interest in PathMotion’s service and technology platform
- Since then, PathMotion has caught the attention of prominent blogger Robert Scoble, who subsequently interviewed CEO David Rivel
